Adelaida Mijares

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015 Adelaida Mijares peacefully passed away in Watsonville, CA. She was 90.
Adelaida was born on December 16, 1924 in Mexico to her parents; Francisco and Maria Ortiz-Mijares.
Adelaida was a woman of many wonderful qualities. She loved to laugh, listen to music and truly cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family. Adelaida's life was devoted to her family and their happiness.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Genoveva Avila and sister; Herlinda Avila.
Adelaida is survived by her children; Luz Avila (Watsonville), Victor Avila (El Paso), Rogelio Avila (Indio) and Ramon Chapparo (El Paso.) She is also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Saint Patricks Church at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
