Agnes "Nancy" Dunsmore Sambrailo

Agnes “Nancy” Dunsmore Sambrailo, 90, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, in Santa Cruz, CA. Nancy was born to Jessie and William Bentley in Detroit, MI on February 7, 1933. She moved to Watsonville, CA when she was 10 years old with her parents and younger brother Bill Bentley. She married William “Bill” Sambrailo in 1956, and raised her 3 children on the family cattle ranch in Aromas, CA.

Nancy was an avid plant and flower enthusiast from her garden to her expansive plant library collection. She was also known for being a dog lover, especially for the Bouvier des Flandres breed, and enjoyed dabbling in watercolors.

She was affectionately known as Grandy to her 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill. She is survived by her children, Mark (Karen) Sambrailo, Judy Sambrailo, and Michael Sambrailo, and many nephews and a niece. Nancy wished to be cremated with no formal services or celebrations. May she rest in peace.
