Alba Luz Renteria

Alba Luz Renteria passed away in Santa Cruz, California on April 25, 2022. She was 81.  

Alba was born on February 21, 1941, in Tacupeto Sonora, Mexico to her parents Enrique Lopez and Maria Esther Valenzuela Lopez.  

Alba was a family-oriented lady that enjoyed life. In her 20’s she was a fashion model in Hermosillo Sonora, Mexico. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles while sitting at the kitchen table. Her family and friends often went to her for beautiful prayers, blessings and guidance. Alba was a resident of Watsonville.  

Alba is survived by her husband, Reginaldo Renteria, her daughter, Gabriela Renteria, her siblings, Maria Teresa Lopez, Gloria Lopez, Jose Lopez and Maria Lopez, her grandchildren, Glen Anthony (Jessica) Martinez, Vianey (Justin) Mendes, Nyssa Paz and Max Paz and her great grandchildren, Blade, Xzavier, King, Aleeyah, Zander and Kamia.  

Alba was preceded in death by her siblings, Enrique Lopez, Rogelio Lopez, Jesus Lopez and Rosa Lopez.  

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 5:00-9:00m PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated the following day Monday, May 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church with the burial to follow directly after at Valley Public Cemetery.
