Alicia Fernandez

On Saturday, August 1, 2015 Alicia F. Fernandez peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Watsonville Community Hospital. She was 79.
Alicia was born on September 16, 1935 in Gomez Farias, MichoacA�n Mexico to her proud parents, Antonio Fernandez Valdez and Natalia Fernandez Gomez.
She loved to keep a clean house and cook for her family. Alicia's life was devoted to her family and their happiness. She enjoyed spending time with them and going on family trips. To a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Amazing Friend you will be always missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Salvador Fernandez, Guadalupe Fernandez and Evangelina Fernandez.
Alicia is survived by her beloved husband, Javier Z. Fernandez and children, Maria Guadalupe Magana, Antonio Fernandez, Luz del Carmen Ortiz and Javier F. Fernandez Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings; Nicanor Fernandez, Silviana Fernandez, Jorge Fernandez, Maria Fernandez, her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 PM with a recitiation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Our lady of the Assumption Church at 1:00 PM with a final blessing at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park to follow.
