Barbara Ann Hervey

On Monday, October 3, 2022 Barbara Ann Hervey peacefully passed away surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in Santa Cruz. Barbara graduated from Santa Cruz High

In 1958. Barbara married her first love, Dean Hervey on May 14, 1959 . Barbara was active in the PTA at Amesti School and a 4-H leader and instructor in the Pinto Lake 4-H Club. Barbara enjoyed gardening sewing and knitting.

She also loved watching college basketball, Softball, and professional tennis. Barbara worked as the school secretary at Green Valley Christian School for many years before moving to South Lake Tahoe.

Barbara worked for Southwest Gas Company for 20 years and retired in 2003 then moved back to Watsonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Dean Hervey and her parents; Albert Kramarz and Bebe Mann and siblings Michael Kramarz, Susan Strite, Patricia Feakes, Robert Kramarz and Albert Kramarz.

Barbara is survived by her children ; Kelly Hervey Kersten (Rob Nadeau) and Scott Hervey (Deedee Brewer). She is also survived by her brother John Kramarz and her 6 grandchildren Ashlyn Kersten (Matt), Gavin Kersten (Julia), Alek Kersten, Garrek Kersten (Ari), Anna Hervey (Chris), Dean Hervey and 3 great grandchildren Taylen DeRego, Freya Kersten and Finely Kersten.

A burial will be held at 11:00 AM on November 3, 2022 at California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery in Seaside CA.
