Barbara Zavala

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Barbara Lee Zavala peacefully passed away surrounded by her family in Bakersfield, CA. She was 70.
Barbara was a woman of many wonderful traits. She loved her thrift stores, garage sales and her crocheting. Barbara also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. To a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend you will be forever missed and always cherished.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred M. Zavala and her parents; Louis Mendoza, Consuelo Ojeda and her brother Alvino Sanchez.
She is survived by her children; Jessica (Edward) Sandoval, Barbara (Johnnie) Benavidez, Alfred (Pokie) Mendoza, Edward (Esther) Mendoza. Barbara is also lovingly survived by her siblings; Charlie (Delilah) Mendoza, Mary Ramirez, Louie (Connie) Mendoza, Gilbert Sanchez, Virginia (Julian) Olivera and her 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 5-9 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10 AM at Saint Patrick Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
