On Friday, June 17, 2016 Beverley Bontadelli peacefully passed away surrounded by her family in Aptos. She was 91.
Beverley received a BA at San Jose State in 1947 where she met her husband, Ernie. They were married for 68 years. She taught management business classes. She worked in the office of their farming in business for 35 years. For most of her life Beverley was a quick witted, outgoing, friendly social person who enjoyed spending time with family, friends and volunteering. She was part of The Watsonville Women's Club, AAUW, Children's Home Society, Friends of the library - La Selva Beach, YLI. She enjoyed finding "gems" in secondhand stores which lead her to the Questers preservation organization to learn about her many finds. She worked at Cabrillo during registration when it was a manual process. She volunteered as a pink lady (Service league) at Watsonville Hospital, working as a cashier in the coffee shop. Beverley was physically active playing tennis, swimming, music and dancing. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She shared with her children the love of reading and crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Stanley Clay and Louise Hastie and her sister Phyllis Louise Orr.
Beverley is survived by her beloved husband, Ernest J. Bontadelli and her children; Suzan Olson, Sally Pfister (Stan), Steve Bontadelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kevin and Lisa Pfister, Drew and Jenna Bontadelli, her great grandchildren; Alexis Elsie and Olivia and by her numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
A Memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Resurrection Church, Tuesday, June 28 at 11am with reception at Seascape Golf Course to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz, or a favorite charity
