Carolina Sanchez

Carolina Sanchez died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2022. 

She was born to Joe and Nora Martinez on July 21, 1937, in Santa Barbara and was a long time Watsonville resident.

Carolina was a Eucharist Minister and an avid volunteer in community festivals. She also was a teacher at H.A. Hyde for students that were learning English as a second language.

She is survived by her husband Francisco Sanchez, her son Frank (stella) Sanchez, her daughter Ana (Jeff) Blinkenberg and her siblings Irene Kavis, Albert Martinez, Rose Hernandez and Richard Martinez. She was preceded in death by her brother Joe Martinez.

Visitation will be on July 13th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Parrish on Thursday the 14th at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Portuguese Hall 124 Atkinson Lane Watsonville.
