Clara "Joan" Joanne Salinas

Clara (Joan) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at age 89 years. She was born in Monterey, CA. 
She is loved by so many. Joan loved playing the piano and was the organist for many years at All Saint Episcopal Church in Watsonville, CA. She also worked for many years at Bank of America, starting in San Benito County as a teller, working her way up to Branch Manager in Santa Cruz County, Monterey County, and ending in her last years in Santa Cruz County at the Aptos Branch. Joan also was a member of the Rotary Club and volunteered at the AT&T for many years.
When she retired, she loved living in La Selva Beach and having time to enjoy her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also loved traveling with her sister for long weekends. 
Joan is survived by her son Ron (Debbie) Salinas; daughters Lei Lani (Arlen) Salinas Colwell, Kalani (Ron) Wierman, Patti (Chris) Beard, and Christopher (Tiffany) Topher-Salinas; daughter in-law, Karen (Al) Salinas. Her grandchildren Caitlin Salinas, Scotty Salinas, Kristen (Skyler) Salinas-Jones, Amber (AJ) Flores, Joey (Jodie) Beard, Cody (Kaiya) Colwell, and Erika Colwell, along with great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Eutiquio Cupal and Vinnie Grace (Sharpe) Cupal. Her son Alexander Cupal Salinas, Sisters Helen Louise Gabuat, Virginia Ruth Pizarro and Florence Lingo and Grandson Joshua Kingsley Salinas. 
Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Pajaro Valley Golf Club, 967 Salinas Road, Watsonville, CA 95076.
In lieu of fowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her son Alex and/or the Leukemia Foundation in memory of her grandson Joshua.
