Daniel Leroy Rocha

Daniel Leroy Rocha (77) passed away peacefully Thursday, December 21^st, 2023 in Salinas, California.

Danny was born in Watsonville, California. He attended Watsonville High School. He worked on his family’s dairy and cattle ranch for over 20 years before working as a mechanic at the different Salinas garbage companies (Salinas Disposal Service (SDS)/USA Waste/Waste Management). Danny worked at those companies for a total of approximately 30 years until he retired and planned moving to Redding and renovating his classic cars.

While he was an avid outdoorsman, he took part in activities of all kinds and prided himself in his vegetable garden, but his biggest impact was with his family and friends. He touched many hearts with his genuine ways. He was someone who made you laugh and feel special just being around him.

Danny was a kind, thoughtful, generous and loving soul who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife (Ann), his siblings, (Gene Rocha and Gary Rocha), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his children (Daniel R. Rocha, Mathew Rocha and Marie Mosley).

Danny is preceded in death by his parents (Violet & John Rocha Jr) and his brother (Jerry Rocha).

A visitation service will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Graveside burial will take place at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
