On January 23, 2023, Dionisia “Nicha” Molina passed away peacefully at the age of 79. Nicha was born in Jalisco, Mexico and migrated to the United States. Nicha was a big proponent of education and received an AA from Cabrillo College. She worked at Watsonville Canning until the strike, where she then chose a different path to assist children in education.
Nicha loved music and you could find her singing or dancing, if she wasn’t playing bingo. Nicha is survived by her sisters Maria De Luz Astorga, Guadalupe Macias, Maria and husband Jorge Paz and brothers Ildefonso and wife Lina Macias, & Javier Macias. Her children Sergio Macias, Marcela Jimenez and husband Jesse Jimenez, Cathy and husband Manuel Gonzalez, Alex Molina. Nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Nicha is predeceased by her husband Catalino, and son Ernesto Molina whom she is now reunited in heaven.
Visitation will be held February 5th, 2023, 3:00pm-9:00pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, and mass will be on Monday February 6th, 2023, at 10:00 am at Valley Catholic Church followed by the burial.
