Douglas Dewart

Early Sunday morning on August 14, 2016, Douglas Calvin Dewart, 73, peacefully passed away at Renown Hospital in Reno, Nevada after having put up a courageous struggle with cancer with his devoted wife, Terry and family by his bedside.
Doug was born on March 1, 1943 in San Mateo, CA to Elmer and Roseanna (Freeborn) Dewart.
His love for nature and the mountains brought him to Portola, CA. He was in the cabinet business for 40 joyful years: National Cabinets in Santa Cruz and Dewart's Custom Cabinets in Portola.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Terry; his son James Dean Dewart of American Samoa; his daughter Tammy Della (Bill) Reulman of San Jose; grandchildren: Bill Jr (Jen) Reulman, Michael (Jasmine) Reulman, Michelle (Jose) Reulman-Torres, Christina Reulman, Georgia (Honorio) Chavez, Franklin Reulman, Gabriel Reulman; 10 great-grandchildren and his brother Dennis (Deborah) Dewart of Santa Cruz.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Rd.
