Eligia Montes

On Saturday, September 19, 2015, Eligia Castillo Montes peacefully passed away surrounded by hwr family in Royal Oaks, CA. She was 87.
Eligia was born on January 1, 1928 in Cueramaro Guanajuato, Mexico to her proud parents; Miguel and Maria Castillo.
Eligia was a woman of many wonderful traits. Her life was devoted to her family and their happiness. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Eligia enjoyed cooking, tending to her rose garden, reading her Christian Bible and praying for all her children. A loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend you will be forever missed and always cherished.
Eligia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Geronimo Montes.
She is survived by her children; Mary Martinez, Geronimo Montes Jr., Miguel Montes, Helen Rodriguez, Gregorio Montes, Pedro Montes, Johnny Montes, Gloria Aguilar, Roberto Montes, Enrique Montes. Eligia is also lovingly remembered by her siblings; Casimira Hernandez, Gumercinda Perez, Manuel Castillo, Ruben Castillo and her 31 grandchildren and 42 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. A service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Green Valley Christian Center at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
