Esperanza Mercado

On August 22, 2014 Esperanza Caballero Mercado, peacefully passed away at Watsonville Community Hospital, at the age of 84.

She was born on March 6, 1930 in Araro Michoacan, Mexico to Ignacio and Marciala Caballero.
Esperanza loved cooking, gardening, camping and valued family gatherings. Her life was devoted to her family and their happiness and they meant the world to her.
Esperanza has peacefully gone to be with her heavenly Father as well as reuniting with her beloved husband, Fidel Mercado and siblings Susana, Maria, Consuelo and Andrea Caballero.

She is survived by her daughter Rosamaria (Gabe) Moreno and her siblings Clementina Caballero, Leal Caballero, Jose Caballero, Ana Maria Caballero Perez.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Valley Catholic Church with the burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
