Estella Chavez

Estella Chavez died peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was 92.
Mrs. Chavez will be missed by family and friends. She worked at the State Hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico as well as, different canaries here in Watsonville where she was employed for many years. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Watsonville Senior Center and enjoyed dancing, singing, going to the beach and watching movies with horses. Mrs. Chavez had 20 children.
She is survived by her 12 children, Beatrice (Leo) Duran, (Lorenzo) Trujilo , Pricsilla, Ariellano, Bobby (Aurora) Chavez, Terry Martinez, Johnny (Vickie) Chavez, Chris Ramirez, Louie (Elida) Chavez, Michael (Rachel) Chavez, Richard (Irma) Chavez, Mary (David) Espinosa, (Rosemary) Chavez, Barbara Chavez, Danny (Esper) Chavez , sister Louisa Herrera, 47 grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren and 51 great-great grandchildren . Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death her husband, Salomon Chavez who were happily married for 35 years, her parents, Manuel and Teresita Chavez, her 3 sisters; Mela Madrid, Fransis Pacheco and Betty Hererra and her children; Dorothy, Marshall, Saloman and Peter Chavez .
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5-9pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00am at Green Valley Christian Church. 376 S Green Valley Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076. Graveside Services will follow on Friday, July 19, 2013 at noon at Watsonville Catholic Cemetery.
