Estelle Marie Alaga

It is with great sadness that the family of Estelle Marie Alaga announce her passing on December 24th, 2024. Estelle was born in Watsonville on September 29, 1938 to an apple famer and housewife. She spent almost her entire working career at Ford’s Department store in downtown Watsonville until the 1989 earthquake. Estelle’s home was greatly damaged in that quake and she moved to her brother Nick’s home with his family in Aromas. Estelle would spend 30+ years with them enjoying family time with her brother, sister-in-law, nephews, niece and eventually great nephews and great nieces. She spent her summers in the yard enjoying music and the company of her family and neighbors. During the fall she could be found watching football with her brother. Of all the things that she loved, family game nights were her favorite.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She leaves behind numerous family members in Watsonville and Saratoga, California and Sandpoint, Idaho. Estelle’s life was grounded with a strong catholic faith that she would hold dear her entire life. Per her wishes there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers and with respect to Estelle’s faith please offer a mass in her name.
