Eva Rocha Rocha

Eva Rocha Rocha, born on 12/6/1948, in Gómez Farías Michocán, México to Antonio Rocha Contreras (9/7/1923-7/8/2011) and Elodia Rocha Fernández.

Immigrated to the USA in her late teens for a better life, worked over 25 years in the fields, until she could no longer work.

She had no children of her own and had always yearned for one… her siblings somehow filled that void; helping mom raise all of us, with a stern and sometimes heavy hand; calling us out on all our missteps.

Her biggest wish was that we not fight and all get along with each other.

Her biggest accomplishment was, becoming a USA citizen.

She was an avid walker, a devoted church goer, also enjoyed visiting the Holy Sacrament and prayed for the ill, friends & loved ones.

Eva was diagnosed with colon cancer in 9/2021 and succumbed to “the monster” 15 months later- on her birthday. She urged us all to get checked for colon cancer; she did not want any of us to live through what she was living; a painful-rollercoaster-ride.

Eva… as motherly as you were to us… we already miss you and wish nothing but solace and eternal repose in the Lord’s house.

A visitation will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 5:00-9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7PM. Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
