Filomena Hernandez

Filomena Hernandez, passed away on August 13th, 2024, at age 99. 

She was born on July 5th, 1925, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to her parents Alberto and Elena Lopez. 

In 1956, she moved to Watsonville with her family where she set down roots. Filomena was a kind and vibrant woman who had her doors open to all and always had the ability to make anyone laugh with her countless stories. Filomena loved flowers, music, and desserts. Her home was always filled with playing children, the sound of laughter, and trios and boleros on the radio.

Filomena is survived by her children: Maria Reveles, Laura Balcorta, Emma Hernandez, George Hernandez, and Albert Hernandez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her second husband Priciliano Mendoza her first husband Martin Hernandez, and her sons Rudy Hernandez, Eriberto Hernandez, and Rey Hernandez.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday August 22,2024 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. With a Viewing at 5:00pm; Rosary will begin at 7:00pm. A Mass will take place on Friday August 23rd,2024 at 10:00 am at St Patrick's Catholic Church. With a burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
