Francisco Arias Gutierrez

Francisco Javier Arias Gutierrez passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Royal Oaks, California on October 26, 2021. He was 87.

Francisco was born on December 3, 1933, in Zacatecas, Mexico to his parents, Regino Arias and Julia Gutierrez.

Francisco was a skilled food harvester. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a resident of Watsonville.

He is survived by his children, Jesus, Ernesto, Gardenia, Esmeralda, Moises, Francisco Jr and Mayra, his daughters-in-law, Roxanna Arias, Bertha Olivares and Marina Arias and his son-in-law, Lionel Howard. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Ortiz.

A Visitation will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM with the burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
