Gabriel Lopez

On November 26, 2019, Gabriel M. Lopez peacefully passed away surrounded by his family.

Gabriel, while being a native resident of Watsonville, was an all sport athlete at Aptos High and graduated in 1972.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking drives while listening to the oldies, going to the movies with his wife Beatrice, and watching his 49ers.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents Domingo and Aurora Lopez, and his grandson Adrian Bocanegara and his siblings; Domingo Lopez, Francis Lopez and Victor Lopez.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice Lopez of 46 years, the two were high school sweethearts; and his daughters Christina (Mark) Bocanegra-Cabral and Beatrice (Oscar) Lopez Ortiz .  Gabriel is also survived his six brothers and sisters; Lupe (Annette) Lopez, Isabel (Robert) Suarez, Johnny (Angie) Lopez, Josie Lopez, Frank Lopez, and Aurora Lopez; and his seven grandchildren.

A viewing service for Gabriel’s family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 5:00-8:30pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
