Gaudelia D. Prado

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Gaudelia D. Prado passed away surrounded by her family in Watsonville. She was 76. Gaudelia was born on September 29, 1946, in San Juan Cosalá, Jalisco, México.

Gaudelia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to spend time with her family, visiting her hometown in Mexico, enjoyed listening to music (specially mariachi), and watching sports. She worked in agriculture for 45 years. Gaudelia welcomed everyone to her home and treated everyone as family. She will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus Diaz and Micaela Guzman Diaz, siblings Javier, Loreto, and Marcelina Diaz, and daughter-in-law Gina Prado.

Gaudelia is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Prado, her children Uriel Prado, Carlos Prado, Mario (Elizabeth) Prado, Jorge Prado, and Brenda (Mario) Castillo, her sister Olivia (Arturo) Fuentes, and brother Arturo (María de Lourdes) Diaz. She will be always loved and remembered by her grandchildren Francisco, Christopher (Shana), Makayla, Diego, Liliana, Noelle, and Lucas and her great-granddaughter Anastasia.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 5-9pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held on Monday July 31, 2023, at Valley Catholic Church at 10am with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
