Georgina Espinola

Georgina Espinola passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on May 11, 2019 at 99 years old.

She came to the United States on July 26, 1966 from the Island of St. George which is part of the Azores in Portugal. Mrs. Espinola completed her education in the Azores. She became an accomplished seamstress and a very talented hair stylist while operating a local neighborhood store. She was a hard working person who also was employed by J.J. Crossetti for 15 years. She loved to crochet and read poetry. She was also a devout practicing Catholic and very proud of it.

She is survived by her two sons Albert Espinola (Rafaela) and Joe Espinola (Renee). Nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One sibling Silvana Jorge of Nipomo, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents Augostinho Silveira Mendoca and Maria Angelina Silveira, also her siblings Amaro Mendoca, Jose Mendoca, Lydia Silveira, Ezaura Silveira, Alexandrina Silveira. Laura Silveira, Maria Ermelinda, Silvana Silveira, Ingelina Silveira.

Visitation will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Sunday May 19th, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 20th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Help of Christians. A burial will follow at Valley Catholic Cemetery.
