Our beloved father died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday December 18, 2018 at the age of 66.
A native of Guanajuato, Mexico he moved to Santa Cruz County at the age of 15 and resided in Watsonville for the past 40 years with his family. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family, friends and community. He recently retired from Don Chapin Construction to enjoy his family and life.
You were the first man your three children loved, you were our everything. When we looked into your beautiful blue eyes we knew you had our back regardless of what we said or did. You were a selfless man, a man that gave to us everything, you never said no. You held our hand when our mother died and held us up when times felt blue. You brought a smile to our face every day with your creative stories. Your seven grandchildren will miss your abundance of love for them.
There wasn’t a day that we didn’t hear your voice telling us to love ourselves and life. “La vida es muy bonita, animo”. You gave us the gift to know and love God and to believe that there is a life beyond this one. Until we meet again, love you dad!
Mr. Ruiz is survived by his three children; Gilberto Ruiz, Mario Ruiz and Veronica Martin; siblings, Prudencio Ruiz, Artemio Ruiz, Cirilo Ruiz, Carlos Ruiz, Fidel Ruiz, Juanita Espinoza and Maria Gonzalez.
