Gloria M. Veneer passed away on December 6, 2021, in Watsonville, California. She was 88.
Gloria was born on December 16, 1932, in El Centro California to her parents Sham Veneer and Juana Sida. She lived in Watsonville since 1950.
Gloria worked for many years at Green Giant Frozen Foods where she retired. She volunteered at Loaves and Fishes. She also volunteered for the Senior Council Foster Grandparents program for Starlight School. She was known as “Grandma Gloria” by all the teachers and students. She enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with her friends at the Kennedy Hall. She enjoyed daily walks as this was her favorite way to exercise. She was a very humble lady. She would give her last dollar to anyone in need. Her motto was “Be Happy don’t Worry.” She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her children, Evelyn Nartates, Jimmie (Annette) Nartates, Louie (Oralia) Nartates, Ernie Nartates and Manuel (Amanda) Marrujo, and her brother Harry Singh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sham Veneer and Juana Sida, her sisters, Susie and Josie, her great granddaughter Anyssa Landa, and daughter in law Roberta Nartates.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
