Gonzalo Rocha Ortiz

On March 31, 2014, Gonzalo Rocha Ortiz passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 79. Gonzalo was born on May 2, 1934 in Gomez Farias, MichoacA�n Mexico to Mercedes and Graciano Rocha.

Mr. Rocha Ortiz worked in agriculture for most of his life. He enjoyed working outdoors, taking walks, playing cards and cooking traditional Mexican dishes for his family and friends. Gonzalo's life was committed to his family and their happiness. During the holidays he loved to travel to his hometown and spend time with his family and friends.

Gonzalo leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Esperanza F. Rocha, and his 4 children; Maria De Jesus, Gonzalo, Yolanda and Refugio Rocha. He will also be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Gonzalo will be missed by all that knew him and especially his close family and friends.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a citation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Church. 100 Salinas Road, Royal Oaks, CA 95076 with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery, 2445 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville.
