Harwood Allen Day was born to Lorraine and Alex Day on May 6, 1931 in San Francisco, California.
Delores was his sister. Harwood graduated from Alisal High School in Salinas, California. He married Mary Ann Spikula of Watsonville, California, and moved to that city. Harwood and Mary Ann had a daughter named Lori Ann. Woody worked for several local tire companies throughout his life, and was a very hard worker. He loved to grow roses and orchids, and his favorite was the Ladies Slipper. He liked to nurture vegetables in the yard along with his fruit trees. He also was a great auto mechanic.
Harwood passed away at the age of eighty-three years on January 29, 2015, and is survived by Lori Ann Day his daughter, his sister Delores, nephews Chris and Terry Nocera and wife Fran, and great nephew Brian, his niece Lynne Kirkland and her partner Forrest Sladwick, his nephew Layne Heim and his wife Karen, great nephews Colin and Ryan Heim, his brother in law Jim Heim, and his predeceased sister in law Ann Heim.
A heartfelt thanks goes to Ruth Marroquin, and Emma Marroquin, self-sacrificing caretakers who helped the family when in dire trouble and need.
