Helen Jensen

Helen Jensen, a long-time resident of Watsonville, peacefully passed away on July 4, 2014 surrounded by her family at the age of 85.
She was born in Corralitos, California on July 26, 1928 to William and Ida Schalow.

Helen's life was committed to her family and their happiness. She always appreciated and loved family gatherings and spending that special time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and attending her water aerobics' class at the Watsonville YMCA.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harald Jensen and her children, Peter Jensen and Nancy (Brett) Bagley.
Helen is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Ruth Peterson, Fred Schalow, and Bill Schalow (Deceased); her nieces and nephew, Kris, Joan, Denise and Mike as well as Carla, her cousin; her grandchildren; Robbie and Jennifer Brooks, Rory and Brad Jensen, Molly Jacobson, Christina Kampf, Kerian Katz, Aaron Clifford, her beloved Pepper and her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Tyler, McCoy, Braiden. Lastly, Barbara Brooks, who was a very close friend and caregiver of Helen's.

Helen's smile, love, and humor will be missed by all who knew her and especially her close family and friends.

There will be no services per Helen's request.
