James Burt

James "Mike" Burt died on Friday, June 28, 2013, he was 75.
Mr. Burt was born on January 6, 1938 in Caliente, Nevada to Ted and Oma Burt, he attended Freedom schools and was a Watsonville HighWildcat class of 56'. Following his service with US Army, Mike began his career as a plumber and retired from Geo. H. Wilson of Santa Cruz, he was a member of Local #62. Mike would call the ideal day enjoying the wilderness & trout fishing, he was also a loyal Raiders fan. His family and friends would tell you that Mike made the "best smoked salmon".
He was predeceased by his parents Ted and Oma Burt, brothers Earl and Ted Burt, grandson Robby Rogers and many other family members
and friends. Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife Pearl Burt, daughters Shelly and Julie Burt, step sons Kevin Webb and Kirt Vojvoda(Natalie), seven
grandchildren, six great grand children, sister in law Beverly Burt, brother In laws Chester and Harold Broyles and several nieces and
nephews.
The family gives special Thanks to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, where donations may be sent. Committal services with military rites will be on July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park in Watsonville.
