Jane Sayoko Yoshida

Jane Sayoko Yoshida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

Jane was born on October 24, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, during the movement of Japanese Americans to the relocation camps.  After the war, her family moved to Japan, and returned back to America in December 1954.  The family settled in San Mateo, California, where she finished her high school and junior college education in cosmetology

After Jane married Robert Yoshida, she moved to Watsonville, California to raise a family.  She enjoyed crafts and arts, and spending time with her grandchildren  She was a valued member at Westview Presbyterian Church, and will be missed by all.

Jane is survived by her sons, Rick (Linda), and Ted (Yumiko); her dear sister, Susie (Noby) Ikeda; three grandchildren (Emily, Mizuki, and Yuki); and many relatives.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Fred and Helen Hanaki; and her brother Ken Hanaki.

Jane’s memorial service will be held on September 10, 2022 at 11:15 am at Westview Presbyterian Church, 118 1st St, Watsonville CA.
