Jose Aldana Calvillo

On September 25, 2014, Jose Guadalupe Aldana Calvillo peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at Watsonville Community Hospital. He was 83.

Jose was born in Saltillo De Velazquez, Jalisco Mexico on May 8, 1931 to Teofilo and Zenaida Aldana Calvillo.

Working in the fields for 70 years, Jose was a hard worker and enjoyed his job. He never went to school but learned to read and write at home. Jose loved to go horseback riding and attending Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife Maria Elia Martinez and children Jose J. Aldana, Miguel Aldana, Maria L. Aldana, M. Luisa Aldana, Ramona Aldana, Felipe Aldana, A. Bernardo Aldana, Jose Concepcion Aldana, Yolanda Aldana and Juan G. Aldana. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Josefina Aldana, Socorro Aldana his 29 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 100 Salinas Rd, Pajaro.
