Jose Luis Castañeda peacefully passed away on Sunday October 20,2024 surrounded by his wife and children.
Jose Luis was born on April 2,1946 to his parents Pedro Iñeguez Castañeda and Eva Perez where he grew up with his 15 siblings.
He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he was from Tijuana, Mexico then he came to Watsonville, where he lived for 53 years and established his career and retired from J.M. Smuckers Company.
At a young age he played baseball, and did boxing but his passion was soccer, you would always find him on the Soccer field. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and compadres. After he retired from work and stopped playing Soccer due to a knee injury his family started growing and his time, love, and happiness was spending time with his wife, kids, and mainly his grandkids who he loved and spoiled.
Jose Luis is survived by his beloved wife Eva Castañeda his children Jose Luis Jr. (Rita). Mario (Lupe), Raul (Jozell) Claudia (Louie). His 15 grandchildren and his Great Granddaughter.
A visitation will be held on Sunday November 3,2024 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM a Rosary will commence at 7:00PM. A Mass will be held on Monday November 4,2024 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:00AM with a burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
