Jose "Luis" Gutierrez

On February 26, 2025, Jose Jesus “Luis” Gutierrez passed away in Santa Cruz CA. He was 70.

Jose was born on May 24, 1954, in Coalcoman, Michoacan, Mexico, to his parents Margarito Gutierrez and Josefina Maldonado. He migrated to the United States at 17 years old. He is a resident of Watsonville.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Castillo, his children, Juan and Monica, his grandchildren, Lizbeth, Monica, Isabella, Priscilla, Adrian and Celeste, and his great granddaughter, Camila.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Juan Gutierrez, Miguel Gutierrez, Manuel Gutierrez, Margarito Gutierrez, Arcadio Gutierrez and Esther Gutierrez.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Valley Catholic Church.
