Josephine Casillas

Josephine Casillas passed away on Friday January 11, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 82.

Born in Santa Barbara, CA April 24, 1930 to Leonardo and Ramona (Padilla) Lopez. Throughout her childhood her family lived everywhere from Texas to Mexico, until they moved to Watsonville, CA. Upon marriage, she and her husband Panfilo, of 56 years, settled in Aromas, CA to raise their two children and be close to her family.

Josephine is a beloved mother to Louie Casillas (Norma) & Alicia Garcia (Indalecio). She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren . She leaves behind family members in the surrounding tri-county area including her brother, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading and being with her family. She was a very devoted and religious person. Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Rosary was at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St.,Watsonville, CA. Mass of Christian Burial was offered Friday January 18th, 2013 at Valley Catholic Church in Watsonville, CA. Interment followed at Valley Public Cemetery.
