A great woman descended to heaven on March 6, 2025 with her family by her side.
She was born to Narciso and Paula Martinez-Marquez on May 23, 1944 in San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco Mexico.
Juana was the youngest of six kids. She came to California in 1986 to reunite with her husband, Antonio De La Torre (deceased 12 yrs ago). She was a stay-at-home mother that also worked from home as a seamstress. She loved sewing, crocheting, playing cards, loteria, and singing. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. She loved cooking and having family gatherings. She was a devout Catholic, an active member of St. Patrick’s Church and a devout of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Juana was a loving mother, a playful grandma and a very giving great grandma. She had a kind, loving and generous heart who made everyone feel like family.
She is survived by one sister, her nine children, 37 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with Vigil to begin at 6:00 pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street Watsonville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 will be at 10:00 am at Valley Catholic Church with internment to follow at Valley Public Cemetery, Watsonville.
Arrangements have been entrusted in the care of The Carroll Family of Ave Maria Memorial Chapel of Watsonville.
