Juana Retamoza

Juana Retamoza, 86, passed away on March 29, 2015 surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 8, 1928 in Los Angeles to Encarnacion and Julian Gonzales.
She worked for Green Giant for 25 years and was an active Teamsters member. She loved to spend time with her family. Her hobbies included cooking, making crafts, shopping, and singing, going to casinos and traveling with family.

Juana is survived by her husband Rodrigo Retamoza, sons Anthony (Ruth), Rodrigo Jr., Phillip (Eleanor), and Rigoberto Retamoza, and daughters Alma Cordova and Pearl (Arnold) Mireles. She also adored her 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She also has a sister, Aurora Gutierrez of Phoenix, Arizona. She will be truly missed by everyone.

Juana was preceded in death by her parents Encarnacion & Julian Gonzales, her two sisters Connie and Esperanza and her brother Adrian Gonzales.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00pm with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at Valley Catholic Church with the burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
