Lucia Villanueva Torres

Lucia (lovingly known as Lucy) was born September 1, 1935 in Elsa Texas. She was a resident of Watsonville since 1955. Lucy met and married Martin O Torres in 1954 and they settled California in 1955. During her lifetime she was a loving mother, a health care provider at Wesley House in La Selva and the owner of The Adobe Kitchen in Aromas for over 25 years.

Lucy lived a life filled with work and family but always had time to have fun. Those who knew Lucy well, know that Bingo was her pastime of choice. She is survived by her two children, Patricia Torres and Martin and Michelle Torres Jr., Daniel and Betty and Daniel Jr. Guzman, as well as 5 grandchildren, Jessica Nottingham, Amanda Loucks, Matthew Torres, Martin Torres III, Michael Torres and four great grandchildren, Olivia Torres, Felicity Torres, Aiden Torres and Martin Torres IV.

 Lucy passed quietly at home on May 15 surrounded by those who loved her. The memorial will be at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Friday May 26th from 1-4:30 p.m.
