Luis Ramirez Sr.
A resident of Freedom, CA, Luis was born August 20, 1948 in Texas to Trinidad and Augustina Ramirez.
He was a graduate of Moss Landing School and worked for Watsonville Canning/ Nor Cal Crosetti, and was a driver in the 1987 movie "Lost Boys". He was a member of the Teamster's Local 912. He loved sports, bowling, playing pool, giving family nick names, the San Francisco Giants, 49ers, Warriors. He also enjoyed family and friends and was a fun guy, even when he was sick he made others laugh.
Survivors include Marilyn Burns, sons Luis Ramirez Jr., Jonathan Cruz and Cody Burns, brothers Danny (Molly) Ramirez, Pete (Rae) Ramirez, Ralph Ramirez, Albert Ramirez all of Watsonville, Alfred Ramirez of TX and Robert (Elena) Ramirez of Watsonville: sisters Freida (Albert) Ramirez-Garza of Watsonville, Mary (Dan) Marquez of Watsonville, Anita (Carlos) Tellez of San Jose, Lupe (Martin) Duran, Mona (Tony) Ramirez-Rodriguez of Watsonville. He was preceded in death by brothers Manuel, Trinidad Jr. and Gilbert as well as his parents Trinidad Sr. and Augustina Ramirez.
A memorial visitation will be on Thursday, May 23 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville, CA with the memorial mass on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick's Church, 721 Main St., Watsonville with interment at Valley Public Cemetery.
