Margaret Rider

Margaret Challoner Rider, born in Shanghai, China, passed away in Watsonville at the age of 93 on Saturday May 17, 2014.
Trained as a nurse Margaret was a homemaker during her married life. While her children were growing up she was involved with PTA. Later she was active with the Pink Ladies at Watsonville Community Hospital.
Her husband Clinton and sister Carolyn Batkin preceded her in death. Margaret leaves her twin sister Helen Gilpin, children Jane Milner (Denis Kutch), Thomas (Laura), George (Maryanne), Robert and Caroline (Norm Jacobson), five grand-children, 2 great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. Margaret also leaves her wonderful care-givers Diane, Teresa, Aitu, Shelby, Chelsea, Mayra and Mayra.
At Margaret's request no service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Agricultural History Project, P. O. Box 1181, Watsonville, CA 95076.
