Mary Manger

Mary Margaret Manger, 82, passed away Sunday May 5 at her home in Aromas, CA. She was born in Perkins County South Dakota in 1930. She lived in the Dakotas until 1940 when she and her family migrated to Gilroy California. Mary made the central coast her home. She married her husband William (Bill) Jean Manger in 1952. Mary was a nurse for 32 years. She worked with the newborn babies at Watsonville Community Hospital for many years. Mary loved gardening and prided herself on the variety of lovely flowers in her garden. When she wasn't busy in the garden she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, history, reading a good book and line dancing with her senior circle. Most of all Mary was a loving mother and her true joy was her four children and their families.
Mary Manger is survived by her spouse, William (Bill) Jean Manger, their four children Danny, Ruth, Carol, and Lennette, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday May 18 at 10:00 am at the Ave Maria Memorial Chapel 609 Main Street in Watsonville with a reception to follow at the Pajaro Valley Rod and Gun Club, at 557 A½ Lake View Rd.
