Mary Hernandez Sanchez

On February 10, 2025, Mary Hernandez Sanchez passed away at home in Watsonville CA. She was 96.

Mary was born on August 15, 1928, in Watsonville, to her parents Pedro and Jovita Hernandez.

Mary was very educated. She enjoyed a nice TALL glass of wine, long walks on the town, dancing till her feet hurt and bargaining at flea markets. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her daughter’s children and great grandchildren. She was a resident of Watsonville.

Mary is survived by her children, Elizabeth, Robert, Manuel, Freddy, Alvaro, Faustino, Mario and Gilbert, 3 siblings, and 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Hector and 9 siblings.

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, a viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel with the recitation of the Rosary from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Monday, March 10, 2025, Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church.
