Mary Silva

Mary Ceballos Silva went home to be with her Lord surrounded with love by her Family Tuesday evening Sept. 30th 2014. She was 86.

As the second daughter born to Lino and Soledad Ceballos, Mary grew up amongst nine brothers and sisters. The family moved from city to city following the harvest, living a humble and simple life.

With little money and resources, they soon discovered their love of music. In this family you played an instrument, sang or did both. Mary loved to sing.
In 1956, she married Joe E. Silva, had two children, daughter Anita and Son Joey.

Mary worked for the PVUSD Child Development Dept. as a Teacher's Assistant for 18 years. Mary enjoyed sharing stories of the children and staff whom she genuinely cared for.

Family was her greatest delight and joy. Whether it was knitting, music, TV comedies or chocolate our Mom found happiness in the simplest of things.

Her "Celebration of Life" Service will be held on Friday Oct. 10th at 11 am at First Baptist Church of Watsonville followed by a short graveside service at Valley Public Cemetery.
