MaryLou Sears was born Dec 4th 1929, and passed away peacefully on Sept. 12th 2014.
Born and raised in Watsonville, the youngest of three, to John and Nellie Bremis. She leaves her brother Paul Bremis of Watsonville and sister Kathleen Marrington of Rogue River, Oregon.
She was a beloved mother to Mike, Suzanne and Scott Sears, as well as loving grandmother to Ryan Rochelle, Brittney, Max, Mikaela and Haley. And a great-grandmother to Brayden, Makenzie and Charlee.
In 1955, MaryLou married Peter G. Sears (Ret. Navy) she and Pete raised their children on military bases in Nevada, San Diego, Hawaii and North Carolina before coming home to Watsonville, Ca.
MaryLou worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a merchant teller and retired from Ford's Dept. store in furniture sales.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, thrift shopping, reading romantic novels, and feeding dogs bologna when no one was looking.
MaryLou was a source of strength, love and inspiration to her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her humor, warm smile, generosity and kind spirit. She will be missed by many!
MaryLou requested her remains to be spread in the ocean she loved. Her ashes will be spread in the Monterey Bay.
A "Celebration of her Life" will be held for family and friends at a later date.
