Maureen Gumm-Schmidt

Maureen Gloria Gumm-Schmidt passed away October 5, 2015 in the early morning surrounded by her loving family in her Prunedale home.

Maureen was born January 23, 1937 the daughter of Joseph Frank and Dorothy Fry in Santa Cruz. Maureen worked for JJ Crosetti for 25 years as a floor supervisor. She retired from Wrigley's after 5 years of employment.

Maureen is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerry Schimdt, her four children, Debra (Jim) Hicks, Deanna Gumm, Robin (Mike) Gomez, and David (Jannie) Gumm. Her six grandchildren, Jimmie, Amy, Jennifer, Matthew, Laura, and Zachary and her five great-grandchildren, Kyla, William, Rylee, Liliana, and Jacob. She is also survived by her two brothers Joe, Frank and Gary Fry. She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert Gumm.

Maureen enjoyed traveling to Chukchansi with friends, finding the best deals at local garage sales, gardening in her yard with her husband, creating jewelry for friends and family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor, which she passed on to her children. She loved greatly and was loved greatly.

Visitation Services will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, October 13 at 11:00 am at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
