Mildred Barnett

Mildred Pauline Barnett, a long-time resident of Watsonville, CA passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2013. She was 90.
Mrs. Barnett was born on December 30, 1922 in Dodson, Texas.
She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Arthur Earl Barnett (Vinson, OK.) Mildred was a strong believer in her faith and became a committed Christian. Through her involvement with the church Mildred had a passion for giving and providing the needs of others.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always wearing a smile. She had a positive attitude on life and was a resident of the Watsonville community for over 60 years. Her family and friends are left behind now to cherish her memory.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Francis Underwood, son; Ronald Dean Barrett, grand-daughter; Dana Barnett of Watsonville, brothers; James Underwood, Roy Underwood and sisters; Mary Miller, Lucille King and Jesse McCuthen all from Texas.
She is survived by Maude Barefoot, Georgia Simmons, Bill Underwood, Nell Langford, sons; Tom Barnett and his wife Cathy, Don Barnett and his wife Jane. Grandchildren; Nancy Mainard and her husband Jim, Kevin Barnett, Luke Barnett and his wife Jen, Tyler Barnett and his wife Elizabeth, and Logan Barnett and his wife Elisha, Heather Fore, Lane Fore, Zachary Fore, Johnathon Fore ,Baylin Statler, Nathan Barnett and Dylan Barnett. Great-grandchildren; Ainsley Barnett, Hadley Barnett, Authur Barnett, and Quinn Barnett. Great-great grandchildren; Haliee Perry and Brooklynn Baker and a daughter-in-law and her husband Pat and Dick Tabula, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and friendships.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Santa Cruz Hospice, 940 Disco Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066. At her request she preferred not having any services.
Arrangements have been entrusted in the care of The Carroll Family of Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, Watsonville.
