Orrin Wagoner, a long-time resident of Watsonville, passed away on Thursday August 22, 2013. He had just celebrated his 76th birthday.
Born on August 19, 1937, Orrin grew up in Watsonville and graduated from Watsonville High School in 1955.
After graduating, he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He also opened a Go Cart Shop on W. Fifth Street. Later, he decided to pursue a career in Real Estate and went on to receive his Broker license. At that time, he opened his own Real Estate business.
Orrin was a devoted and active member of the Elks Club, Rod and Gun Club, Kiwanas, Rotary and SIR's. Mr. Wagoner also served as President for the Watsonville Board of Realtors, President and Treasury for the Bay Village Home Owners Association, and a member of The Agricultural History Project.
Orrin enjoyed Western Action Shooting, fishing, riding motorcycles, but his greatest passion was spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind his son Michael Wagoner and his wife Nancy and their children Briana, Zachary and Joshua and his daughter Stacey Amirsehhi and her husband Rob and children Katelyn and Haley (all of Watsonville). His sister Doris Thurgood of Arizona and another sister Patty Childs and her husband Dick of Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orrin and Lora Wagoner, his sister Peggy Nunes and his brother Merle Wagoner.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville.
