Paula Baca

On February 13, 2024 Paula Baca passed peacefully in her home at the age of 93 surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother of five children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A loving wife of 63 years to Mauricio Baca Sr.

Preceded in death by her husband Mauricio Baca Sr. and her son Mauricio Baca Jr. She is survived by her brothers Lupe Carranco, Jesse Carranco and sister Alejandra Montanez. Children Theresa Urban, Alfonso Baca, Ricardo Baca (Conception) and Patricia Baca (Keith) including numerous nieces and nephews.

Paula was born June 30, 1930 in San Antonio Texas and worked for Del Mar Foods as a USDA Inspector for many years. She loved gardening, cooking and traveling.

Always cheerful and thoughtful, her infectious smile touched everyone’s heart, she will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz county, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, California 95066.
