APTOS - Roberta (1943-2025) lived with love, humor and creativity. Aptos, CA and Eugene, OR were home, with chapters living in Seattle, Guatemala, and traveling around Europe. In her final years, she lived in a book-filled apartment overlooking the Monterey Bay.
An urban farmer, beekeeper, art therapist, ghostwriter, editor, milliner, psychology instructor, and artist, she loved cooking from scratch, swimming in wild waters with swim fins, and creating collage and handmade quilts for loved ones. She particularly treasured her work at the Oregon Research Institute and her activism with the Council for Human Rights in Latin America.
She is survived by her daughter, Iris; son-in-law, David; granddaughter, Clara; and friends worldwide. She was predeceased by her daughter, Andrea.
Celebrations of her life will be held in Eugene and Santa Cruz this summer.
