Rosie Elaine Ellis, an active 65 year old woman was called to heaven September 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada while visiting and enjoying a vacation away from her Laguna Beach, CA residence. Rosie was born in Salinas, CA and was raised in Watsonville, CA. She was raised with a large family of 8 siblings. She is survived by Julian Vasquez, Raul Torres, Peter Gervasio, Jessie Gervasio and Elizabeth Gervasio and preceded in death by her mother Esther Gervasio, Jennie Gervasio, Christina Vasquez and Ernie Vasquez.In her early life, Rosie Ellis married in Las Vegas, NV and had two children of which she is survived by including her oldest son David Ellis jr and her youngest daughter Shauna Ellis.Rosie was a very kind hearted and loving woman with an incredible personality and an infectious laugh. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with including random strangers and became liked the moment you met her. She was an animal lover and spent time with her favorite animals Oreo, Cloey, Boo and her new puppy Princess Rosie.Her unique charm, charisma and vivacious spirit made her a very fun popular woman among all her family members. She enjoyed walks to the beach, casino games, music, dancing, dining, roller coaster rides, tv game shows, 49ers football games and had a special talent for crocheting. While she struggled for many years with her health, she made the most out of it with the majority of her time spent with her children enjoying music and being a passenger for daily car rides.Beyond the daily excitement of her extra curricular activities and hobbies, she was a family oriented woman who took time to engage with everyone of her nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers she loved each one beyond measure.During the early years of her work life, she spoke of her cherished time as being an employee of The Fitzgerald Casino, but not only as an employee, but as a casino customer. It was the casino life she enjoyed the most. She wanted to always be at the center of the excitement of meeting new people and was loved by so many of the casino staff who knew her as momma.As a woman of faith and her strong commitment to prayer, God has returned her to the promise of heaven after life and is joined with her loved ones.
