Santiago Medrano Haro

February 3, 1920 — June 15, 2019

Santiago Medrano Haro passed away on June 15th 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Watsonville Nursing Center. He was a native of Mexico but a resident of Watsonville for over 50 years.

Mr. Medrano came to California while the ‘Brasero’ program was in place. He would come to work the fields for many years.

He is survived by his children; Zanaida Medrano, Brigido (Fidela) Medrano, Ramiro (Leonor) Medrano, Jose (Carmen) Medrano, Alfredo (Nicolasa) Medrano, Columba (Silvino) Medrano Sergio Medrano, Elia Medrano (Francisco), Guillermina Medrano, Fernando (Carmen) Medrano, Santiago Jr. (Lorena) Medrano. He also leaves 50 grandchildren and two siblings Miguel and Trino Medrano. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Rosa Medrano, his son Jaime Medrano and two brothers Aurelio Medrano and Francisco Medrano.

Visitation will take place on Monday June 24th, 2019 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. There will be a celebration Mass on June 25th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Valley Church followed by burial at Valley Public Cemetery.
