Williiam Henry Hermosillo

On June 24, 2024, William “Hank” H. Hermosillo passed away peacefully at home in Watsonville, CA. surrounded by his family. He was 82.

William was born on January 5, 1942, in Salinas, California to his parents Sally Tapiz Sotomayor and Raymond Hermosillo.

William served in the US Navy for 4 ½ years in San Diego, CA. Upon his return to Watsonville, he worked at Heights market for several years. He also worked in Pacific Grove, CA. for Grove market for 10 ½ years until his retirement. He was loved by many people for his big heart. His biggest enjoyment was watching his sons play sports (win or lose) he was always ready to go to the next game. William was a long-time resident of Watsonville.

William is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sylvia Hermosillo, his sons, Jeffrey (Mariella) Hermosillo, Kevin Hermosillo and Todd (Sherri) Hermosillo, his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his nephews, Steven Hermosillo, Michael (Martha) Hermosillo, his niece, Karen (Bill) Lawrence, and Rebecca White.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Hermosillo and Michael Sotomayor.

A memorial service will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 12:00 PM. After the service there will be a celebration of life at 621 Martinelli St. in Watsonville.
